March 22-28 Meal Plan

I've been in an acid-forward mood for awhile, so you may notice that I am once again buying lemons.

My favorite recipe on this list is the chicken piccata; we probably eat that twice a month at least. I recommend snagging a crusty loaf of bread or three to pair with all of these meals.

  1. Slow-Cooker Chicken Pomodoro
  2. Happy Fridge Salad
  3. Pasta al Limone
  4. Chicken Piccata with roasted yellow potatoes.

Reading List

I recently located my missing copy of The Third Plate, so I'll be re-reading portions of that over the next few months. It's basically a food history book, but I love following along as Dan Barber learns about America's eating troubles. He also accidentally helped start the 'farm-to-table' movement, and that story is well told in the earlier portion of the book.

I also ordered Forgotten Home Apothecary : 250 Powerful Remedies at Your Fingertips because I'm going to help my bff start an herb garden and will use this book to help me decide which plants to purchase.
